RESULTS - St. Louis County / County-Specific Propositions

PASSED - MEF urges a NO vote in Greene County, Ballot Question 1: keep judges elected, not appointed!

St. Louis County

FAILED - Charter Commission - The current charter was written by a more conservative county administration than the current administration. Now is not the time to revise the charter under the control of current St. Louis County Council.

PASSED - Improvements to County Buildings and Facilities - Proposition Iraises taxes at an inopportune time.

FAILED - Public Transportation - Proposition M forces non-public transportation users to subsidize services they don't use.

FAILED - Use Tax - Proposition H targets small businesses with a new tax.

MEF does not have the resources to research propositions on the ballot in each of Missouri's 114 counties. To review the ballot before Election Day, go to your county's board of election website. If you would like to help us with this project next election, please contact us at moeagleforum@gmail.com.

The more responsibility we give to government, the less the individual and the church must begin assuming responsibility for the tasks not assigned to the government under constitutional limitations." It is not uncompassionate to vote NO on ballot questions, proposals, and bonds to limit government intrusion into our lives. Our responsibility is to limit the growth of government - that is real compassion!
